Avely Marsh is on the banks of the River Thames near its estuary where the M25 crosses the river via a tunnel and a suspension bridge. The contrast between wilderness and the modern world is dramatic.

· No Sodding State Fucking Funeral For the Wicked Witch of the West! (by Corin)
About This Poem:
There has been some talk of late abut giving Margaret Thatcher a State Funeral when she dies - well it can't be too soon for me because I am going to the Spontaneous Street Party instead.
If you are in Newcastle Upon Tyne meet beside Grey's Monument as soon as possible after the news hits the streets - if it happens after 9pm we will start at 9am the next day.
See you there!

· The Fairer Sex Poetry (by orangedream) My entry for Luigi's enormously challenging 'Equivocal Verse'. Hopefully, it can be read in two self-contained halves - each a poem in its own right and having opposing views. Read it ignoring the line breaks and it becomes just one poem, forming a third aspect. That's the theory, anyway and I bet it's clear as mud! | |
· le dragon Poetry (by TexasLady) For Gervis Clarence Dousay, 1927 – 2000, with special love for Ralph & Dolores Landrum and the staff at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center — I think of you and wonder who would ever have believed, that I'd survive or live to write the story of our grief.
