Somebody challenged me to write 1000 words on a "Heart Warming" family theme, I chose an old family story, set it into a Christmas context and unashamedly mawkish sentimental predicatable story line, just to prove I can do more than mud stories. I was more impressed that I got it to exactly 1000 words. All character and location names are ficticious blah blah blah

(This is my party piece with no literary pretensions, but it is good fun to perform. Should you want to try it , you will require: one old battered hat, one voice modeled on the late lamented Major Bloodnok as demented and paranoid as possible, and one shiny bald head. This is a book that is coming along very slowly. It's difficult to write because a lot of it is coming out all in the wrong order and having to be deciphered. I have to be in a certain kind of mood to write 'Tainted' I think it will take many years to write.

In The begining....

This is the start of my second novel, I hope you all like it.

This is just a little squib which might amuse. It's a very old story - I got the idea from reading Jorge Luis Borges' Imaginary Beings and the Sandman graphic novel Fables and Reflections by Neil Gaiman. It's my first submission to UK Authors, so I hope you like it.
