Fiction: Welcome to Zone 73. - by RoyBateman (1430 words) - Date online (04-05-2009)

Zone 73 isn't on any map, so it's hardly surprising if potential entrants are wary, is it? (Was I correct, putting this into "Fiction", I wonder? It's surely only a matter of time...)

 Fiction: OAP's Revenge - by jay12 (452 words) - Date online (27-04-2009)
Flash Fiction

A piece of flash fiction. I forced myself to sit down and write something and this is the result. I’ve not been writing too much lately and I’m trying to get myself back into some kind of routine again. I’m banning facebook and limiting my YouTube time (two websites that have taken up a lot of my writing time!) so I can try and become a proper contributor to UKA again as I used to be. I hope you enjoy this story of revenge – granny, fight the machine!!!

Fiction: The Serotonin Grand Prix - by AlexClay (3253 words) - Date online (17-04-2009)
Experimental

My first book, published by Chipmunka press....it's 120 pages long, and is a psychodrama that has elements of non-fiction, horror and black comedy. The Serotonin Grand Prix is a volatile race through the paranoid mind of Marko, a young man detained on a community mental ward, who is convinced he has been targeted for assassination. His only ‘friend’ is a toothless, psychotic heroin addict who wants the shirt off his back. Most of the staff couldn’t care less. How would you survive your worst nightmare? CHAPTER ONE HERE

A previous version of this play has been up on the site before - but a friend suggested it should really be twice as long and have a less crap ending. It's black comedy that starts out on a fairly realistic level and gradually becomes more and more demented.
